The NBA appointed THM Sport in September 2015 to develop a targeted marketing and PR campaign for Australia and New Zealand. Using our extensive network across athletes, THM Sport has assisted in the growth of key revenue drivers – NBA League Pass and the licensing program in this market. THM Sport also rolled out the NBA Commute campaign in Melbourne, Australia.

NBA Commute was an 8-week campaign launched in January 2017 that provided commuters on Melborune’s Yarra Trams network complementary access to NBA League Pass while on board.  This was the first marketing campaign implemented by the NBA in Australia and proved an overwhelming success.  1.5million commuters boarded the tram over the period while 1500 passengers redeemed the League Pass offer.  The campaign generated widespread awareness with high profile athletes Jarryd Hayne, Jarryd Roughead, Greg Inglis and Jack Reiwoldt all posting images via their social channels.  The campaign reached a a gross total audience of 823,000 people nationally.
